ABOUT US

Behind the Scenes

Manakin Fire-Rescue was founded in 1951, and since has been one of six fire stations in Goochland County. Manakin station 1 is part of a combination department, but relies on volunteers to staff it currently. Manakin also relies on gracious donations to continue providing continuing education, various supplies, and maintenance. Here at Manakin Fire-Rescue, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 1951, we’ve been driven by the same ideas from when we initially founded our Fire Department. We proudly exist to protect and serve the citizens of Goochland County through dynamic emergency response, preparedness, training, and prevention.
